9466 ready for Gloucs-Warks service

JONATHAN Jones-Pratt’s ‘94XX’ 0-6-0PT No. 9466 has entered service at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway at the start of an extended hire to the Cotswold line. 

The Hawksworth pannier was trialled on a round trip on October 19, double-heading with another Hawksworth type – ‘Modified Hall’ No.  7903 Foremarke Hall – during the railway’s Cotswold Food & Drink Fayre.

GWR Pannier Tank No. 9466 double heads with 7903 Foremarke Hall on a test run on the GWSR to Cheltenham Racecourse.

They are pictured at Didbrook en route from Toddington to Cheltenham Racecourse.

No. 9466 was expected to make its solo debut during the weekend of October 26-27, sharing services with ‘42XX’ 2-8-0T No. 4270. JACK BOSKETT
