Land Rover pulls train across Rhine

LAND Rover has demonstrated a Discovery Sport 4×4 hauling three railway carriages weighing 108 tonnes across a girder bridge spanning the River Rhine, in northern Switzerland.

In order to complete the stunt and demonstrate the power of the new 180hp Ingenium diesel engine, the vehicle was fitted with rail wheels by road-to-rail conversion specialists Aquarius Railroad Technologies.
