RZD has introduced a variety of double-deck coaches and sleeping cars in the last few years as it modernises the stock used on some routes.
The new coaches are built by the Tver carriage works north of Moscow and are air conditioned and wi-fi equipped. They operate in 15-coach rakes at up to 160km/h on the Moscow to Voronezh route.
Daytime coaches have interiors designed by Transmash and Italian industrial design company Italdesign Giugiaro.
