The railway is due to reopen on the 1st of April, initially travelling as far as Clogwyn Station, which is ¾ distance up Snowdon. The diesel service to the summit will then recommence on the 13th of May, along with the reopening of Hafod Eryri.. The steam service to the summit recommences on the 15th of May.

The railway, which runs 4.7 miles from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon, is the only rack and pinion railway in the UK. The seasonal attraction operates from April until the end of October.

The railway management and employees are currently busy preparing for the start of their 2023 season, and a recruitment drive is planned for the coming weeks to recruit for seasonal staff to work up at the summit, onboard the trains and at Llanberis Station.
