1st – 16th April
Easter Eggspress
Over the Easter holidays, Bure Valley Railway will run the Easter Eggspress. There are lots of times available, departing from either Aylsham or Wroxham, and children also get a free Easter egg on completion of the Easter Trail. Or you can enjoy a nice Easter-themed afternoon tea at the Whistlestop Cafe.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
Churnet Valley Railway are hosting the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party this Easter. Ride through the picturesque Staffordshire Moorlands with a lively host of characters from Alice in Wonderland and a delicious selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes!

Easter Vintage Festival
Great Central Railway’s Easter Vintage Festival is back for 2023. Step back in time to a country fayre at Quorn & Woodhouse station, complete with gallopers, a big wheel, and of course some guest locomotives – Metro Cammel Diesel Railcar has already been announced, with two steam and one diesel guest still to be revealed.

Sir Nigel Gresley
Travel behind Gresley A4 No. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley, back in Blue for the first time since overhaul. The iconic loco will be appearing on the Nene Valley Railway this Easter weekend, and then again later in the month.

Easter Trains
Cambrian Heritage Railways will be running on Saturday and Sunday from Oswestry station, and the journey will pass along the newly opened extension to Weston Wharf. Plus, there’ll be a Easter egg hunt.

York Model Railway Show – It was one of first shows cancelled due to COVID, and it’s one of the last ones back, but back it is – the York Model Railway Show will be at the York Racecourse between Saturday 8th and Monday 10th.

Chocolate Train
The restored Fry’s chocolate factory locomotive will be in Keynsham. Discover more about the locomotive, learn more about it’s and the factory’s history, and hear from retired employees who worked there. Kids get a free bar of Fry’s chocolate too!
