Locos find new homes after Brookside site in Cheshire closes

Following the closure of the 7¼in-gauge Brookside Miniature Railway (BMR), Poynton, Cheshire on September 2 (RM Sept, p78), all but one of the locos have moved to new homes.

Exmoor 0-4-2Ts 307 Jane has gone to Pugneys Light Railway, Wakefield; 309 Jean and 337 Jeremy to Barnards Miniature Railway, West Horndon, Essex; and 314 Amy Louise to the Isle of Man.

The new location for privately owned Exmoor 313 2-4-2T Billy May has not been notified.

Two of the three Roger Greatrex-built, American-style diesel locos have been relocated – No. 2000 Mighty Max is now with the Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway, Chester, and No. 6602 Sir Richard is at the Burnley & Pendle Miniature Railway, Thompson Park, Burnley.
