After the wheels had been craned off, the lorry was reloaded with Hagley Hall’s new cylinder castings, together with those of Dinmore Manor Locomotive Ltd’s ‘2884’ 2-8-0 No. 3850, which were then taken to Harco Engineering in Brierley Hill for machining.

Once the cylinders had been off-loaded, the final stage of the journey was completed with the delivery of the doorplate to Northern Steam Engineering’s site at Stockton, where No. 4930’s boiler is currently under restoration.
