THE Weardale Railway is again running the ‘Train to Christmas Town’ this year.

The train is seen with No. 31190 at the head, newly repainted in BR experimental golden ochre livery, as carried by No. D5579 (painted ‘bronze gold’, as it was then described, at Doncaster in 1960), and latterly by No. D5830 in preservation at the Great Central Railway.
