Greater Anglia will operate another railtour to support a local children’s hospice on May 18 as the company bids farewell to its locomotive-hauled ‘short set’ in May
Two Direct Rail Services (DRS) Class 37s and a set of five Mk2 coaches will work a Norwich-Kings Lynn-Liverpool Street-Norwich tour on May 18 to mark the end of loco haulage from Norwich to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
Just 250 seats are available and will be sold on a first-come-first served basis, with tickets priced at £80. All profits will be donated to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH), and the operator is once again offering the opportunity to bid for a cab ride, in this case from Norwich to Ely.
