A HUGE stride towards the realisation of a two-mile extension for the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway has been made, with its £1.25million share issue already a fifth of the way to its target.

Following a high-profile media launch on April 6, supporters of the former Great Western main line rallied to pour £250,000 into the project within a week, which – at the time of writing – had topped £350,000 as The RM went to press.
