LONDON Underground introduced a new timetable on the Victoria line on May 22, that sees a train every 100 seconds during the rush hour.
This equates to 36 trains per hour each way, making the Victoria Line one of the most intensive metro services anywhere in the world – claimed to be second only to the Moscow Metro.
The new timetable is the result of a £900 million upgrade of the line that began in 2003, including new trains and improved stations.

The intensive service relies on an automatic signalling system from Siemens that allows trains to run closer together. It was originally planned to be introduced in April 2016, but was delayed by computer software problems.
Next for a similar upgrade is the Jubilee Line, where a 100 second frequency is planned to be introduced by 2020.
